History:
Match Day II was a complete re-write of Match Day with
plenty of extra features Bernie
made a much better job of the graphics
than I had in the earlier version. The C64
version was pretty good, this time Ocean
got someone to translate my Z80 code line
by line I can remember spending
over a day on the phone with me single
stepping (a debugging term) through the Z80
code while the 6502 programmer did the
same at his end with the C64 translation.
Match Day II was a critical success and
sold truck-loads The Spectrum
magazine Crash had a readers chart and I
was pretty pleased to see Match Day, Batman
& Match Day II all in the top ten
simultaneously.
